Wandering to Wyoming CaravanRegion One is going to Gillette, Wyoming to attend the 53rd International Rally and we are leading a Region One Caravan that is crossing mid-America with some very interesting and fun stops. Our caravan of 24 (max), Airstreams will rendezvous at the Danbury, CT (eastbound camping rest area) on June 1, 2010.

We have 22 days of sightseeing, touring & traveling, so we are meandering with multiple-night stops and not rushing along. Our stops include 20 days with full hookups in campgrounds, a fairground and a Cabela’s camping area. Airstreaming across America, where you will see some of the most fascinating landmarks you have heard or read about can be a reality for you. We have arranged this caravan so you won’t feel like you have been on the road pushing for that destination way off in the distance, instead, you will wonder how you ever drove 2,300 miles and just didn’t realize it. Experience “PULL-IN—UNHITCH—TOUR”; no time-consuming registrations or paying out of pocket at the campgrounds; we have done it all for you.

Caravanning is all about friends traveling together and enjoying each other’s company, so we have worked out a schedule where our daily tours, campfires, ice cream socials, dinners and happy hours take place just when you want them; we have not encroached on downtime so you can relax or be as busy as you want to be. Our drives are reasonable in length and will not be considered a chore on driving days. Hooking up and traveling with fellow caravanners will be easy because we have even arranged “work” for everyone to take part in. Providing some responsibility for caravanners is just part of the game of getting member’s schedules together, thus traveling and having fun with someone you might not know quite as well as another.

Tours included are the Corning Glass Factory, Indianapolis Raceway Grounds, Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and the John Deere Factory. We also are including a “Half-Way There” dinner at the famous Machine Shed in Davenport, IA and multiple Ice Cream Socials, 2 BBQs, 3 breakfasts, an additional dinner plus the big finale of the “Farewell Banquet” in Gillette. With dozens of other sights and attractions along the way (for you to do on your own), and you’ve got quite a vacation package.

Costs: (2 in an Airstream $1130) (1 in an Airstream $980) (Extra Person $221) in U.S. Funds.
