By now we all have had a taste of winter and the groundhog has given us the news. Some folks think that six more weeks of winter is good; more skiing, ice fishing or just reading a good book in front of the fire. Others are looking forward to a possible early spring to get a head start on our gardens before we head out with our Airstreams for the beginning of another camping season. Many units in Region One held winter dinner meetings, sharing good food with friends recalling the fun times of last year and the plans for more good times coming.
A few of the region’s units have checked in with some very exciting events, while others are taking the slower path to just camping. Whatever you may be looking for this coming season, there is a great variety of offerings. One sure way of being sure not to miss a rally being planned by another unit is to join in on the fun by becoming an affiliate member. This does a lot of great things for you; gets you on the mailing list for unit newsletters, another unit directory and a way of making new Airstream WBCCI friends.
Speaking of new friends, the Region One Rally this August is promising to be a big event. Being held at a private campground, providing each rig with full hook-ups, a big Vintage Venue and open to ALL Airstream owners. The perfect way to introduce WBCCI to folks who still were wondering what all the fun is about being a member of our great club.
Don’t let the winter blues get you down, the mud season in New England will be here before you know it and then soon afterwards we will all be camping. If you have any news you would like to share with your fellow club members just drop me a line and I will be happy to pass it along or ad it in the next Blue Beret.
